Submission Guidelines

Hiraeth: A homesickness for a home to which you cannot return, a home which maybe never was; the nostalgia, the yearning, the grief for the lost places of your past.

Whether on a personal level or collective level, I ask for an offering to this feeling - a poem, a piece of flash fiction, or an art piece.

I will be making and curating a pamphlet of various creative works to hopefully be published in November and distributed around Christmas time, or in the new year (depending on the COVID-19 climate).

*Submissions are now closed, thank you to everyone who has contributed!*

I am interested in representing a diversity of experiences from all backgrounds. Writers and artists outside a position of sociological privilege (i.e. women, BIPOC, differently-abled, LGBTQIA+ etc.) are highly encouraged to submit their work.

Please be aware that this is a student project, and whilst I would love to pay you for your work, unfortunately, it’s just not possible with the budget I’m working with. All I can offer is a space in the book for your work that is as mindful and beautiful as I can make it, and a copy of the book once it's released. There will also be a space at the end of the book for a creator bio where you can share any social media or portfolio information.

By submitting your work you are giving permission for it to be published. However, if you should change your mind after submitting, please email me as soon as possible.

Thank you! As always, if you have any questions please send an email to cedapark@live.co.uk
